I have Knee Pain

  • Swelling and stiffness of the knee areas.
  • Might experience popping or crunching noises.
  • Inability to fully straighten your knee.

What's the Cause?

The most common causes of knee pain are related to ageing, injury or repeated stress on the knee. High impact activities involving lots of jumping and quick pivoting makes our knee prone to injury.

Knee pain is usually associated with sprained or strained ligaments, cartilage tear, tendonitis or arthritis.

Possible Symptoms

Listed below are some of the possible symptoms you may have if you are experiencing knee pain.

Swelling and Stiffness

Typically caused by inflammation due to sprain to the knee ligament or muscle.

Weakness and Instability

Inflammation of the knee makes it difficult to bear your body weight without support or brace.

Popping or Crunching Noises

Experiencing pain with the noises is a sign of injury to your knee joints or osteoarthritis.

Inability to Fully Straighten the Knee

Inflammation of knee joints or a torn meniscus may prevent you from doing a knee’s full range of motion.

Did you know?

Our joints tend to wear down with age. The degeneration of joint cartilage and the underlying bone (Osteoarthritis) can cause pain and stiffness. Injury to soft tissues is a common cause of shoulder pain for young people, especially athletes.
